Biography

Hi! I am Thanh Nguyen. I am a German exchange student from Braunschweig Institute of Technology with my major is Industrial and System Engineering. My research interest area is the sustainable energy system, especially the renewable energy generation, the Smart Grid and the electric mobility. By combining those, my master thesis is about the integration of the Electric Vehicle into the electricity grid in term of smoothing the demand fluctuation in the US from the EV owner perspective. The goal of my masters research is the recommendation of an cost optimal charging behavior to the EV owner. The core of the solution is avoiding the peak periods of the energy consumption curve when charging the EV. In the future, I want to keep working on this research area with the vision of creating a sustainable, green world for future generations.
