Teams

The SIS Lab Team Performance Group seeks to enhance the performance of teams in various environments. Our studies strive to further understand the aspects that build high-performance teams based on communication, cohesion, and psychological factors (i.e., emotional intelligence, cognitive style, personality, environmental attitudes and behaviors). We utilize quantitative, qualitative, and mixed-methods approaches to explore structured frameworks that influence team performance, such as The Systems of Systems approach, and Fuzzy Cognitive Mapping. The Team Performance Group aspires to untangle the inherently complex web of teaming to advance knowledge in an interdisciplinary world, where teams are becoming unavoidable and essential to achieving a sustainable world.
