Biography

Hello, my name is Travis Phillippi. I am a senior at The University of Rhode Island studying to earn a BS in Industrial & Systems Engineering. Before my time at URI, I spent five years in the United States Air Force as an Operations Intelligence Analyst. My military experience has given me a unique perspective and has taught me to enjoy approaching challenging problems head-on. For these reasons, I was excited to be given the opportunity to join the SIS Lab team. My professional interests are in human factors and ergonomics, construction management and project engineering. Upon graduation, I accepted a job offer as a Project Engineer for The Whiting-Turner Contracting Company in the New England region starting in July 2021. 

Outside of school, I enjoy spending time with my wife, Alaina, and family. I also love being outdoors, fitness, working on cars, and fixing things around the house. My wife and I are expecting our first child, Austin Henry, in May 2021.
