Biography

Hello, my name is Michael Galuska, I am pursuing my BS in Mechanical Engineering at The University of Rhode Island. My research interests are in mechanical systems, environmental sustainability and renewable energy. My active research investigates how team performance, structure, and communication relate to achieving environmental sustainability in the field of residential construction.  I am analyzing information obtained from the Department of Energy’s Solar Decathlon, an international competition in which teams representing various universities build a solar house.  This research will aid in identifying efficient communication practices in the context of sustainable building design.
