Biography

Hi, my name is Jack Shields and I am currently an undergraduate student at the University of Rhode Island. I am pursuing a dual degree in Mechanical Engineering and German. My life life long dream has been to work within the automotive industry. The experience and exposure at the Sustainable Innovative Systems (SIS) Lab has steered me closer to achieving my dream. Throughout my undergraduate research assistantship, I’ve had the privilege of working with graduate students on analyzing the relationship between driving behavior and battery efficiency in various traffic conditions on a battery electric vehicle.
