Biography

Hello! My name is Philipp Neugebauer and I am from Berlin, Germany. After graduating from the Technical University of Berlin with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering, I decided to move to Braunschweig for the excellent international dual master exchange program at the Technical University of Braunschweig, since I wanted to enhance my academic career internationally. Therefore, I am pursuing a dual master’s degree in Mechanical and Systems Engineering in cooperation with the University of Rhode Island. Due to previous vocational and internship experiences in the automotive industry, I am particularly interested in innovative powertrain technologies such as alternative, and electric drives. At the University of Rhode Island, I joined Prof. Dr. Macht’s Sustainable Innovative Solutions (SIS) Lab, where I hope to engage in various research topics regarding modern and sustainable mobility.

Outside of school, I enjoy engaging in aquatic activities such as sailing, scuba diving, and fly fishing. I also really like to travel the globe, go on hikes and spend time in nature.
