Biography

Hello, my name is Megan St. Hilaire. I am Rhode Island, born and bred, from the city of East Providence. I am a junior pursuing my BS in Industrial and Systems Engineering with minors in sustainability and math.

My research in the SIS Lab consists of assisting Ana Rodriguez Rivera with a project entitled Product User Experience for Women. Through this research, we will explore the design flaws of breast pumps in order to produce improvements in the pumping process for mothers.

In the Fall of 2018, I became a founding mother of the URI Women in STEM Club. The affinity group works as an open forum for females to speak about their experiences, to share advice and to empower each other in academia and in the future.
