Purpose: To learn about the components of a basic solar-powered electrical circuit.

Target Grades: 6-12

Activity: Students will use kits to create different circuit configurations in order to power an LED, a fan, or their own cellphones. They will learn about topics such as resistance, parallel vs. series configurations, closed vs. open circuits, solar cells, and switches.
