Biography
David is a Professor of Costume Design at the University of Rhode Island and a resident artist at The Gamm Theatre, where he has collaborated on over 30 productions. Recent designs include The Big Meal, Far Away (millinery design), Anne Boleyn and Festen.
At URI, David has designed 30 productions including: Be Aggressive, Metamorphoses,The 25th…Spelling Bee, Singin’ In The Rain, Little Women, Pride and Prejudice, Disney’s Beauty and the Beast, Into The Woods, Les Liaisons Dangereuses (scenery and costumes), La Bête, and Twelfth Night (scenery and costumes).
David’s costume and Sabbatical work was recently presented in a solo exhibit, Guilding the Shoestrings II, at URI’s Providence Campus. Other local design credits include Theatre-By-The-Sea, Elemental Theatre, Connecticut Rep, and Brown University. David is a proud founding member of The Beauty Salon, a weekly aesthetics radio show.
