MARC U*STAR Program: Apply by March 20th

Are you a student from an underrepresented racial/ethnic group, a student with a disability, or a first-generation college student, and have an interest in research in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math), fields?  If yes, MARC U*STAR may be the right program for you! It is a 2-year program designed to increase the number of underrepresented (URM) students pursuing graduate degrees, e.g. Ph.D., In the biomedical sciences. Read more about the program.

U*STAR: Undergraduate student training in academic research

Eligibility: Rising junior (current sophomores), 3.0+ GPA, Underrepresented, enrolled in a STEM program, full-time student and interested in pursuing a graduate degree in biomedical sciences.

Benefits of program: Generous tuition scholarship, monthly stipend, paid summer research internship, travel funds for scientific meeting and professional career development guidance.

Course credit: Yes, up to 12 credits throughout 2-year experience
