URI funds opportunities for URI undergraduate students to engage in faculty-led research.

The Office of Undergraduate Research, Scholarship, and Creative Works (OURS) provides grant support to colleges for undergraduate research, creative, and artistic projects. The program funds undergraduate students who participate in original research or creative or artistic projects of their own design and faculty-led research. This requires supervision by a faculty sponsor.

Funding ranges from up to $1,000 for an individual project, up to $1,200 for two students, and up to $1,400 for a three-student team. A project team may have no more than three students. All undergraduate students in good standing are eligible. This includes both full-time and part-time students.
