The Idea of Democracy is Simple. Its Execution is Complicated.
The University of Rhode Island Voter OperaTions and Election Systems (URI VOTES) laboratory utilized engineering approaches to make data-enabled recommendations that help election administrators and officials overcome current and future obstacles in election science.
Who are We?
The URI VOTES team was established in 2017, as the RI VOTES project, in response to new technological election systems that created shifts in voter behavior. The team is a group of hard-working individuals at different stages in their academic careers, brought together by a passion for democracy!
How Can We Help You?
The URI VOTES team has developed tools, practices, and guides to inform efficient voting processes. However, since all elections are different based on local policies, our team is available to consult for specific areas.
