2013 Operation: Military Kids Family Camp

A Weekend of Discovery for the Entire Family!

August 2-4, 2013 at The University of Rhode Island

For children ages 5-18 and their families.

Who Can Attend?

Any child ages 5-18 with a military parent, priority being given to those in the deployment cycle, Wounded Warriors and Gold Star families. Additionally, we require that at least one guardian attend with the child or children. This can be the service member, civilian parent, caregiver, or any other loving adult in the child’s life.

How do I register my family?

Application forms can be found in the 2013 Family Camp Brochure. Click here to download a copy! Applications (with check for the non-refundable $10 registration fee per family) will be accepted on a first come, first served basis. Application deadline is MONDAY JULY 15. Please make checks payable to the RI 4H Club Foundation with “OMK” in the memo line. Download the Family Camp Registration forms below. Mail the completed Registration forms and your registration fee to: Rhode Island State 4H Office, 75 Peckham Farm, Kingston RI 02881. A confirmation will be emailed when registration is complete.

How does Family Camp work?

Family Camp is FREE to all participants! Families are housed together in the dormitories at the University of Rhode Island. Children and parents will participate in fun workshops and activities, both individually and together to have fun, reconnect with each other, and share family time.

What activities will be available?

There will be a number of exciting workshops and activities including: Ice Skating, Rocketry, Arts and Crafts, Team Games, Lego Engineering, and a bonfire.
