SF Marina Systems is a Swedish company that manufactures concrete floating structures including: marina dock systems, floating breakwaters, floating foundations, industrial piers, and specialty floating concrete solutions.
After graduating with a BA in Marine Affairs, Mason became a project manger building a new marina and boatyard in Portland Maine (Maine Yacht Center). The project involved the construction and management of a 100-slip marina and 35,000 Sq-Ft heated workshop with yacht brokerage. In 2007, he joined SF Marina Systems USA after working with the company on a replacement floating breakwater at the marina. At SF Marina Systems USA, he is hands on in marketing, sales, and project management. He recently completed the docking system project in Bermuda for the America’s Cup Team Oracle. The MAF program provided a wide range of experiences and topics that related to Mason’s business passion of the ocean and coastal areas, from environment/climate change issues, to government, to business, global shipping, and recreation. “From a young age, it was my goal to make a living in the marine industry and environment,” says Mason, “The MAF program was a perfect fit for me.” Mason currently lives on Portland Maine with his wife Rachel.
