Center Welcomes New Students on 1st Night

1st NightThe Student Nonviolence Involvement Committee (SNIC) group affiliated with the Center for Nonviolence & Peace Studies welcomed over 3,000 new URI students at the annual 1st Night celebration to begin the school year. The street in front of the Student Union was hopping with festivities, student group information booths, and lots of food and drinks generously given out through the evening.

Many students stopped by the Center booth to sign up for our newsletters, become involved with the Center student group, to learn more about our nonviolence work on campus, and to have their photos made with Gandhi.
