Kingian Nonviolence Certification

International Nonviolence Summer Institute

The Center for Nonviolence and Peace Studies is home to the nation’s leading Kingian Nonviolence training institute. This three-day introductory core workshop introduces participants to Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.’s philosophy and strategies of nonviolence. You’ll learn from distinguished nonviolence activists and presenters, earn certification through the Center for Nonviolence and Peace Studies at the University of Rhode Island and join a global nonviolence network.

PSY 479: Topics in Psychology: Nonviolence Conflict Reconciliation Training (3cr)
This topical applications course is an applied hands-on learning experience that examines Dr. King’s nonviolence philosophies, principles and strategies through a series of workshop modules.
