I am a co-founder and an organizer of the international grassroots network Direct Action Everywhere. We have had actions in over 140 cities in 30 countries. With regular participation in 40 cities. I have been an activist since 1993, when I began marching at labor and immigration rights rallies and volunteering in youth mentoring programs. I want to help institutionalize nonviolence by offering trainings to all, focusing on the animal rights movement. I also seek legislation for nonviolence, including animals that can be passed over the next few decades. I am inspired by my family, who fought for farm workers with Cesar Chavez, and by every activist who confronts injustice.
