Robin Wildman and Gail Faris were honored with Level III Certification on Monday, June 8, 2015, at the Beloved Community Supper at the 14th Annual International Nonviolence Summer Institute. Level III Certification is given to those who have institutionalized nonviolence and that is certainly true with these two remarkable women. Robin has transformed her fifth grade classroom at Broad Rock Middle School into a nonviolence classroom as its heart, and has done so for the last decade. This year she has trained other teachers and the principal at her school in ways to incorporate nonviolence into their existing curriculum to create peaceful classrooms.
Gail has provided outreach alternative community service learning trips with URI students for sustained involvement with Habitat for Humanity, and assisted Dr. LaFayette with co-training Level II advanced Kingian Nonviolence Leadership, Mobilizing.
