(Level I – 2016)
My name is Edward. I’m 25 and originally from North California. I just graduated from Marlboro College in Vermont this spring with a BA in philosophy and religious studies. I’m a student of the Buddhist tradition of Thich Nhat Hanh who was a friend and influence on Dr. King. I’m interested in teaching Kingian Nonviolence for three main reasons: Academically, I want to help decolonize philosophy and religious studies; Religiously, I want to help promote interfaith learning communities; and Politically, I want to learn how to be an effective ally in socio-political activist movements through ethical and spiritual guidance.
