I’m a teacher-consultant with the National Writing Project in New Hampshire, where I combine my work in education with my writing career. I live on a small farm with my husband Barry. We’re travelers and advocates for human rights, environmental rights, and sustainable living from a global perspective. After being part of the core nonviolence training in Nepal this past March, I’m eager to widen my knowledge and experiences in nonviolence, peace and reconciliation. My personal goal is to bring the nonviolence training into writing for social justice. My work goal is to share this learning with teachers and school communities, and together bring Dr. King’s principles to students. I was part of the 2015 URI Alternative Spring Break in Nepal. The training and experience provided by the Center for Nonviolence & Peace Studies was impressive. I’m looking forward to applying nonviolence in my work with teachers, students and communities in New Hampshire and beyond.
