The Center for Nonviolence & Peace Studies and Strike a Chord Student Organization hosted an awesome night of “Guitars for Peace.”
Wednesday evening October 22, world renowned French-born fusion guitarist, Claude Bourbon brought the house down with his stellar performance at 193 Degrees Coffeehouse in the Union. He was backlighted with an amazing lightning storm that added to the ambiance.
Strike a Chord singers and guitarists Joe and Nick opened the event with some incredible music, showcasing finger work and chording accompanying heartfelt vocals of favorite songwriters ranging from Jackson Browne to Beatles to Stephen Stills.
Proceeds from this event were contributed to the Stephen Myles Scholarship for Social Justice.
