Peace Ambassador for Social Media
Since graduating from the University of Rhode Island in 2013, Maja has been working abroad as an English teacher and Cultural Ambassador. Maja has worked with students in Spain and Vietnam to bridge cultural differences through the use of the English language. When attending URI, Maja completed her Level 1 nonviolence training and has returned to the Center to pursue a career in Nonviolence and Humanitarian work.
At the Center her responsibilities include connecting with former trainers to highlight their recent work in nonviolence in the “Trainer Spotlight” section of our website, presenting to URI 101 students, coordinating Outreach Programs, and maintaining the Center’s Blog and monthly email updates to our subscribers.
