Nathan KlebanDriven by the intersection of spiritual practice (Buddhism for me), western psychology, trauma and justice, have for the last two years served at a homeless shelter in Salinas while living in a spiritual community which supported it, and have also volunteered with the “Alternatives to Violence Project” in local prisons, facilitating experiential workshops on conflict transformation, as well as with a hospice, spending time with those close to death. Interest in nonviolence began with reading Tolstoy’s “The Kingdom of God is Within You” and much of Richard Gregg’s work, and being inspired by people and nonviolent movements around the world.
