The Center received a record number of essays for the 2015-16 Eighth Grade Gandhi Essay Contest, with over 360 essays submitted! These came from 23 different schools across Rhode Island in the sixth year of this event.
We are eager to read the amazing research and thoughts that the students of this state are saying about the Father of India and the powerful leader of an historical nonviolence movement.
Congratulations to all of the students who contributed and the teachers who supported this effort.
Many thanks to our Center assistant, Liz Rogers for coordinating this program and the endless hours she spent dedicated to making this the best event ever!
