SherribevelI have directed civic participation and democratization projects in the United States and East Africa and was a founding member of the Miami-Dade Election Reform Coalition (MDERC), where I led the call for verifiability in voting systems (paper trails). I have taught American Politics, Human Rights and Nonviolence at the University of Chicago and elsewhere. In the edited volume, The Chicago Freedom Movement: Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. and Civil Rights Activism in the North, I wrote about how African American high school students impacted federal lead poisoning legislation. In 2016, Gail Schechter, Pam Smith and Mary Lou Finley and I founded the Addie Wyatt Center for Nonviolence Training.
