Victoria Astudillo Wins Raffle for Nepali Backpack

Since the beginning of the semester, the Center has been collecting submissions for our Nepali Backpack Raffle at each of our events. We are happy to announce the winner of this authentic, handmade Nepali Backpack, made entirely of rice bags, was URI Student Victoria Astudillo.

Paul Bueno De Mesquita, Center Director, presented the bag to Victoria along with Center Student Worker, Becky Kayode. In Center tradition, Paul and Becky presented Victoria with the bag with their peace signs in the air.

Hundreds of raffle tickets for this stylish bag were submitted and one was chosen at random. We hope Victoria enjoys the bag! Stay tuned for more raffle events from our Center!
