Lisa DeProspo Philo has worked as a communications specialist for the University of Rhode Island’s NEMO Program since June 2004.  The diplomas that she keeps meaning to frame but are now probably yellowing and moth-ridden are: a Bachelors Degree in science communication from Cornell University and a Masters Degree in environmental and natural resource economics from URI.  Being a jack-of-all-trades, her research has meandered from the economics of water resources and economic evaluation of land use, to the communication of  environmental issues including climate change, land use, storm water pollution, and source water protection.  For about half of a decade, Lisa also taught introductory micro-, marcro-, and environmental economics to those willing to take an 8:00 am course at URI.  Most recently, Lisa also has been directing the overhaul of new websites which act as a warehouse of information about water pollution and solutions:
