Drop-In Tutoring

Our Drop-In Center (located in room LL4 of the Carothers Library) is staffed with peer tutors from in the afternoon and evenings Mondays through Thursdays. Students do not need an appointment to visit the Drop-In Center.

Mondays-Thursdays | 12:00pm to 7:00pm | Carothers Library LL4

Policies:

  • Students are welcome to visit the Drop-In Center as often as they would like. Come for a quick question, prepare for an upcoming exam, or anything in between!
  • Students must swipe in and out of each Drop-In Center visit at the reception kiosk.
  • No graded exams or quizzes may be worked on in the Drop-In Center. 
  • Students are welcome to borrow scientific calculators from the reception desk while working with a tutor. These can be borrowed for up to 3 hours and must not leave the AEC space at any time.
  • Capacity Policy – If a class and/or full subject area is at capacity, it may close temporarily. In that case, we recommend that you check back in later for possible reopening or use TracCloud to schedule an online occasional session or a weekly tutoring group.
  • Our tutoring policies are in place to ensure the most productive and positive experience for students and tutors. Our goal is to support as many students as possible and we look forward to seeing you at the Drop-In Center!
