Biography
Hello there! I’m Ceileidh Kung, pronounced “kay-lee,” and I oversee the STEM & BUS Tutoring program at the Academic Enhancement Center. In my role, I supervise the Assistant Coordinator of STEM & BUS Tutoring, the peer tutors, and the fourth-floor receptionists, ensuring the smooth day-to-day operations of the program. I aim to provide a welcoming, supportive, and fun tutoring environment for URI students.
I’m an alumna of URI (and the Talent Development program), holding a B.A. in Sociology/Psychology (2014) and an M.Ed. in Higher Education from Providence College (2019). I’ve been working in higher education since 2015 and I love working with college students.
Supporting the LGBTQIA+ community, both on and off-campus, is very important to me. I choose to be visibly out and proud to help foster a welcoming environment for all students and I believe in the importance of embracing our authentic selves.
You can typically find me on the 4th floor of Roosevelt Hall or in the library Drop-In Center. Come say hi! 🙂
