AEC Receptionist Job Description

Role: Receptionists are responsible for providing detailed information on AEC services and quality customer service to all campus visitors who visit the AEC.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Knowledge and confident communication of AEC and other campus services.
  • Ability to work Roosevelt Hall hours and Library Drop-In Center hours.
  • Participate in (paid) new receptionist training sessions.
  • Attend ongoing (paid) training and professional development opportunities to continually improve interpersonal skills and knowledge.
  • Comfort with communicating on the phone, including voicemail and call transfers.
  • Willingness to learn multiple technology systems including but not limited to: TracCloud, Starfish, G-Suite, Microsoft Office, and more.
  • Ability to maintain a customer service mentality at all times.
  • Attention to detail and compliance with office policies.
  • Responsible for tracking and security of valuable office technology.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Must be an undergraduate student in good academic standing.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Demonstration of initiative and solution-first thinking.
  • Strength in time management and responsibility.
  • Sensitivity to the needs of diverse student populations.
  • Dedication to teamwork.
  • Willingness to provide general administrative support as needed.

Compensation:

  • Pay rate is $14.00 per hour, with increases for leadership roles.
