Agronomy Farm
Gardner Research Center (Agronomy Farm) has approximately 85 acres of land. Of that about 40 acres are being used to grow forage for the animals at Peckham. (15 in organic production). There’s 25 more acres of fields protected by deer fencing and about 4 acres of unfenced land around the food center.
Open to the public for participation in approved programs or activities during regular university business hours (7:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. Monday – Friday)

Roughly 85 acres of meadows, forests, orchards, greenhouses, and fish tank laboratories. This farm is adjacent to Audubon Society property, making it ideal for bird and wildlife habitat research. East farm is located a mile from the Kingston campus on Route 108.

URI Greenhouses operate as a cost center with a limited amount of bench space available. All watering of greenhouse plants is the responsibility of individual users. Because the greenhouse is self-service, users must ensure the care of their own plants.

The Peckham Farm home base is roughly 20 acres, with 18 of it being pasture. This facility is home to a variety of livestock including beef/dairy cattle, sheep, goats, swine, and poultry. The farm and animals housed there are used for undergraduate education and faculty/graduate student research.
