Biography

Bethany brings close to 20 years of experience in the field of Academic Success in higher education. Pulling from her roles as peer counselor/mentor, tenured faculty member, department chairperson, and administrator, Bethany has developed a unique holistic approach to not only identify obstacles to academic success, but also brings experience in designing and implementing strategies to help students overcome them. Prior to coming to URI, Bethany worked as the Student Success Coordinator and Director of Online Learning at New England Institute of Technology, a tenured faculty member at Shasta Community College, and an assistant professor at CSU, Chico. She is currently working towards a doctoral degree in Educational Leadership and Innovation with a focus on student success in higher education in a post-covid landscape.
