Political science major Christina Fernandes ‘23 interned with the Rhode Island Human Rights Commission. She’s prepared trial binders and helped draft subpoenas, requests for information, determinations, and more.
“Being a recipient of the A&S Internship Fund has helped to make my internship experience possible by allowing me to work a little less,” she says. “I work part-time at two jobs on top of being a full-time college student. The extra money allowed me to take a break from one of my jobs and put in more hours at the Commission, which has in turn allowed me to gain more experience and knowledge.”
