Project title
“URI Campus: A Walk Through Time: Women at URI 1960-1970s”

Project description
Abby’s summer research project will identify and describe available archival records and resources that illuminate the expanding role of women at URI (1950-1980) with a particular emphasis on the 1960s and 1970s. Abby’s research and the creation of a finding aid will help to guide future students exploring the contributions of women at URI and the impact of 2nd Wave Feminism.

“My hope for this research is that it will illuminate the roles that women play, historically and contemporarily, in shaping the context of our world. I am especially thrilled to have the opportunity to research women in Rhode Island and their myriad of contributions.”
