Research Project
Lucas researched how family accommodative policies such as parental leave, subsidized child and elder care, and flexible work arrangements affect the labor market outcomes of women in the U.S. in comparison to Scandinavian countries. He gathered relevant labor market data and statistics, reviewed extensive journal articles, created an annotated bibliography, designed a visual summary of major policies and significant data, and then used his work to expand an existing research paper.
