KINGSTON, R.I. – June 30, 2025 – “Leap and the net will appear” is Lucio Andreozzi’s mantra, and it has proven tenfold to be true.
Andreozzi is a New England-based celebrity photographer, creative director, social media consultant, content creator, and URI alumnus. His interest in photography began at a young age, fascinated by old family photos, magazine covers, fashion ads, and billboards.
In 2020, Andreozzi left corporate America to pursue a creative path in photography. Since then, he has worked with top international fashion houses—including Dolce & Gabbana, Valentino, Christian Dior, Fendi, Bvlgari, and Max Mara—and photographed notable figures such as Olivia Culpo, Julianne Hough, Mario Lopez, Nina Dobrev, Paige Desorbo, Stassi Schroeder, and Nicole Scherzinger. His work has been featured in publications such as Vogue, Forbes, and Who What Wear.
Before taking a huge creative risk (with a high payoff), Andreozzi’s career journey began in his home state of Rhode Island where he enrolled as a public relations major at the Harrington School of Communication and Media. Specifically, he credits his success as a communicator and community member to Professor Regina Bell.
“Regina was my advisor and professor for several classes, and she always emphasized that PR is all about building relationships. At the time, I’d roll my eyes—but now, that advice defines my career. The relationships I’ve built with clients and brands are the reason I continue to get work in such a competitive industry. I even laugh with her now about how right she was: it really is about who you know. Show up and work hard,” Andreozzi said.
When he wasn’t in class, Andreozzi could be found just about anywhere on campus. Whether that was giving tours to prospective students, familiarizing and welcoming first-year students as an orientation leader, teaching as a URI 101 mentor, serving as Rhody the Ram, or participating in the Student Alumni Association (just to name a few). It has always been clear that no matter where Andreozzi’s sights are set, he is going to commit with his whole heart.
Andreozzi graduated in 2016 and secured a job as a social media manager at a Rhode Island-based agency. After realizing the role wasn’t the right fit, he went back to the drawing board to figure out the next meaningful step. For example, moving to Los Angeles was a lifelong dream. With that, he began seeking out career opportunities that would land him in the City of Angels. After landing a sales job with a global company, he committed to working in Rhode Island for two years. Eventually, he moved to L.A. to work in the same role for another two years.
Then, 2020 hit and compelled Andreozzi to think bigger and bolder. On a whim, he decided to purchase a camera to hone his photography skills. From there, he began creating editorial work with friends and models in Rhode Island as a means to familiarize himself with the camera.
“A few months in, Olivia Culpo hired me for “special projects” which consisted of photography, social media/content creation, some creative direction, etc. That role ended up shifting into being her freelance photographer for events/travel and her team began to represent me and pitch me for other gigs in the celeb/influencer space,” Andreozzi said.
From there, his life changed in ways he could have never imagined. These days, he can be found at Milan Fashion Week, The Tony’s red carpet, The Oscars, the Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, Dancing with the Stars, Good Morning America, and last-minute flights to Paris and London. None of this would have been possible without his audacity to think big and his focus on the importance of connecting with others.
“I would say right now, 40% of the time I am at home in Rhode Island and able to take on jobs locally for my clients, and 60% of the time I am traveling on the road for work both domestically and internationally. I conceptualize, create, shoot and edit content for my clients and oftentimes work directly with the brands to achieve the vision. I try not to overpack my schedule so that I am available for whatever my managers send me but even when my schedule is packed to the brim, I try to really take the time with each job that comes my way to make it an incredible experience for everyone with each shoot I am working on. It is my utmost priority to make sure the person or people I am shooting feel completely comfortable and confident. I really try to take the time to get to know the brides, expectant mothers, and models I work with so we are able to vibe together and it’s a wonderful experience for everyone. I truly think the atmosphere I build translates in the images.”
With the world at his fingertips, memories of his time at URI are a pleasant reminder of how he got here today.
“At the end of the day, I just genuinely love people. Genuine and authentic relationships are why I do what I do. I think that’s why I was so drawn to being a tour guide, an orientation leader, the MC for a Rhody Rally, organizing homecoming… These moments were formative to me and influence everything I do now,” he explains. “These fast-paced, high-stress environments work for me because I had to learn how to corral large groups of people, I needed to connect with a plethora of personalities at orientation, and ultimately how to be a people person.”
Clearly, the net was always waiting for Lucio’s leap.
