Learning Outcomes Oversight Committee (LOOC)
LOOC was established in 2007 as a joint Faculty Senate and Provost Office committee with representation from important constituencies across the University, and is committed to promoting, supporting, and ensuring effective assessment as an integral part of the student learning experience at the University of Rhode Island.

New Joint Provost Office/Faculty Senate Committee (Fac Sen minutes: voted Oct. 19, 2023, pg 5) to align the Learning Outcomes Oversight and Academic Program Review Committees. The new committee is named: Joint Committee on Academic Program Review and Outcomes Assessment (JAPROA).

Joint Committee on Online and Distance Learning
The Joint Committee on Online and Distance Learning proposes, examines and recommends institutional policies and practices for developing, planning, evaluating, and implementing online and distance learning offerings with a focus on quality, sustainability, and connection to the mission of the institution, with the approval of the Faculty Senate and the Provost.
