Immerse in Communities. Build Relationships. Make a Difference.

The United Way of RI Volunteer Resource Center is a ‘one stop shopping’ for students to find opportunities from over 100 Rhode Island nonprofits. Opportunities are searchable by location, agency as well as interest areas. Research the work they do and find service opportunities for you or your student organization.

Being involved in your community includes having your voice heard on issues you care about! The Rhode Island Secretary of State has educational resources on voting, public meetings and other ways to stay informed and engaged.

If you are interested in working with a community partner, or planning a service based event, please contact Alicia Vignali Henry or the Office of Community Engagement and Action at 401-874-2568. The Office of Civic Engagement and Action is located in Roosevelt Hall, RM 140 – and is open M-F 9am-4pm. Students are always welcome to stop in and discuss ideas!
