M.S. in Speech-Language Pathology
Overview
The Master of Science (M.S.) education program in Speech-Language Pathology (residential) provides academic and clinical training for students who are preparing for professional practice in speech-language pathology. Speech-language pathologists (SLPs) work to prevent, diagnose, and treat a variety of communication and swallowing disorders, and may be employed in schools, hospitals, and clinics. They often work collaboratively with other health care providers and educators.
Job opportunities in speech-language pathology continue to expand and speech-language pathology consistently appears in the “Best Jobs” rankings by U.S. News and World Report. In addition to clinical practice, SLPs also may be employed as researchers, educators and administrators.
