What is your responsibility as a 2019 URI Energy Fellow (i.e. what team are you on/where are you working)?
I am an intern for the Renewable Energy Fund (REF) at Commerce Corporation RI. The main role of the REF is to provide grants to eligible property owners who want to adopt a renewable energy project, such as solar, wind, or anaerobic digestion. My responsibilities include providing programmatic and administrative support, communicating with renewable energy installers, and organizing grant applications. It is very rewarding being able to provide financial assistance to people while also benefiting the environment. I am looking forward to visiting the various projects funded by the REF throughout the year.
What do you like to do in your free time? Are you involved in any other organizations or activities on campus?
I am a part of the Rhody Rhapsodies, which is an acapella group on campus. Joining the club has introduced me to some really talented singers and great friends. I also enjoy yoga and meditation, as well as anything I can do outside!
