What is your responsibility as a 2019 URI Energy Fellow (i.e. what team are you on/where are you working)?
I am currently an engineering intern working with RISE Engineering. RISE Engineering performs audits on residential, commercial, and municipal buildings and offers their clients an analysis of which energy saving measures will increase their energy efficiency and are incentivized by the utility. I have been focusing on creating calculators that estimate energy savings and am eager to go on more site visits during the summer. Working alongside experienced engineers has provided me with the perfect work environment.

What do you like to do in your free time? Are you involved in any other organizations or activities on campus?
I love to play sports, especially volleyball and futbol. I also work on my own cars, my love for cars drove me to pursue an education in mechanical engineering and although my interests in the field have broadened to aerospace and energy I still enjoy the hands on experience of making a regular car into something exciting.
