What is your responsibility as a 2020 URI Energy Fellow (i.e. what team are you on/where are you working)?
\My responsibility as a 2020 URI Energy Fellow is to increase the education of clean energy and energy efficiency by giving tours of the National Grids Innovation Hub in Providence, RI. To increase the education and information about energy efficiency, how every person uses energy and what they can do to reduce their energy consumption. At the Innovation Hub there are several displays and diagrams of energy efficient technologies, products with rebates by National Grid, implementation measures of clean resources such as the Nation’s 1st offshore wind farm by Block Island, information about Electric vehicle stations throughout the state, and more. My team is currently working on methods to increase community outreach and involvement through the National Grid Innovation Hubs social media outlets and email flyers.
What do you like to do in your free time? Are you involved in any other organizations or activities on campus?
I like to travel, and do outdoor activities like running, hiking, and kayaking, while being involved locally and on campus. Currently I am a jurist on the Judicial Council for the Student Senate at URI and was the Vice President for the External Affairs Committee in 2018-2019. I like to work with my hands and am working on a 1971 Dodge Demon muscle car when I have available time.
