What is your responsibility as a 2020 URI Energy Fellow (i.e. what team are you on/where are you working)?
As a 2020 Energy Fellow I am working with the Rhode Island Office of Energy Resources within the Department of Administration. The Energy office regulates the dispersal of energy utilities across the state, and the Renewable branch is tasked with expanding the clean energy sector, through incentive programs, outreach, and workforce development. My primary role is to work with the Chief of Program Development to administer the Summer 2020 Clean Energy Internship Program- I collect metrics on the student and company applicants and use their preferences and needs to match student interns with clean energy sector companies, with a long-term goal of strengthening and expanding the state’s clean energy workforce.
What do you like to do in your free time? Are you involved in any other organizations or activities on campus?
In my limited free time, I like practicing yoga, honing my writing skills, and listening to true crime podcasts. I also love spending time at the beach during the summer months.
