Expected Graduation date: Spring 2021

What is your responsibility as a 2020 URI Energy Fellow (i.e. what team are you on/where are you working)?
I am an intern for Renewable Energy Fund (REF) at Commerce Corporation RI. My main focus as an intern is to provide programmatic and administrative support to the management of the Corporation’s Energy programs. This incumbent will support the REF staff in the coordination and implementation of new energy programs and initiatives. My responsibilities at REF include providing grants to any eligible property owners that are either small scale or commercial scale projects looking to convert to a renewable energy system, communicating with renewable energy installers, and organizing the grant application process. It is a rewarding experience to be able to work in this field and provide financial assistance to those who are interested in adopting renewable energy.

What do you like to do in your free time? Are you involved in any other organizations or activities on campus?
I am a part of Rhody Ambassador, which is a club that assists and represents the Undergraduate Admission Office. Rhody Ambassador participates in all Open House and Welcome Day events, so it’s a very fun and enjoyable day to meet with prospective URI students. I also enjoy playing field hockey with my friends back home, which is something I look forward to in the Summer.
