Responsibility as an Energy Fellow: As a 2020 Energy Fellow, I am interning with Green Development LLC, a renewable energy development company based out of Cranston, Rhode Island. At Green, our goal is to diversify Rhode Island’s energy portfolio by providing alternative ways to generate electricity other than harmful fossil fuels and natural gas. Additionally, Green Development’s clean energy projects provide a second source of income for our clients, as well as generate financial savings for our energy off-takers. My responsibilities as an intern include tracking and mapping potential sites to develop new projects and researching government incentives or subsidies that help the business development team finance new projects. Every day I’m learning something new, and I couldn’t be more grateful for the opportunity!

Free time/ other organizations: Personally, I prefer to spend most of my free time outside, whether it be relaxing on the beach, playing golf, or going paddleboarding. I also really enjoy reading the Wall Street Journal and spending quality time with my friends and family. Over the course of my college career, I have been involved in a number of organizations such as Club Soccer, the URI 101 Mentor Program, and being a brother of the Kappa Sigma fraternity. I also had the opportunity to study abroad in Barcelona, Spain, for my Spring semester junior year.
