Emily Hall is a M.S. student studying geological oceanography at the University of Rhode Island. She is working with CRC director J.P. Walsh and the international team to study mangrove habitat and carbon storage as part of the USAID Fish Right Program in the Philippines. She is also the research assistant for the Graduate School of Oceanography’s Beach Survey, a long term data series that monitors coastal erosion along the barrier beaches of Rhode Island’s south shore. While her research is focused on coastal geomorphology, Emily is broadly interested in the interplay between community and ecosystem responses to sea level rise. She has a B.S. in Geology and Environmental Science from William & Mary in Virginia.
