Small pelagic fish stocks are depleted along the Ghanaian coast, posing food security concerns for residents in >300 communities. Moreover, the fishery supports the livelihoods of thousands of artisanal fishers. The USAID Sustainable Fisheries Management Project, being implemented by CRC and many partners, has cooperated with the Fisheries Commission to address this critical issue of coastal overfishing.
