Meal Plan Cancellation Policy Spring’23 Plans

Living with HRL on-campus?

Visit E-Campus > My Housing Portal > HRL Online Cancellation Request Form to submit a request for Housing and Dining. No cancellations will be granted if the student remains registered in a residence hall that requires a Meal Plan. The official Housing cancellation date (not the submission date of cancellation request) will dictate the cancellation assessment by both HRL and Dining Services. Fees will be assessed by the following schedules.

Living off-campus, in Greek housing, or in non-HRL facility?

You must submit an email requesting your cancellation, including your current meal plan, reason for cancellation, and contact information to Campus ID & Dining Office for consideration by the University.

Meal Plan fees will be assessed by the following schedules:

Unlimited Meal Plan cancellations are assessed by the week. (Please note, Ram Account funds are separate and subject to the Ram Account Refund policy.)

  • Week 1: 10% fee charged
  • Week 2: 20% fee charged
  • Week 3: 30% fee charged
  • Week 4: 40% fee charged
  • Week 5: 50% fee charged
  • Week 6: 60% fee charged
  • Week 7: 70% fee charged
  • Week 8: 80% fee charged
  • Week 9 and after: 100% of fee charged (no refund)
  • Any used portion of the initial Ram Account balance (funds that came with your plan) will be assessed to the student. Additional/remaining Ram Account funds may be refunded after withdrawal from the University.

Flex Meal Plan Cancellation Fees:

  • Fall and Spring semester refunds are based on actual usage during weeks 1-8. No refunds week 9* or after. Any used portion of the initial Ram Account balance (funds that came with your plan) will be assessed to the student. Additional/remaining Ram Account funds may be refunded after withdrawal from the University. (*J-Term and Summer Plans: actual usage.)

Dining Services makes every effort to provide an array of nutritious and freshly prepared foods for our customers, encompassing a wide variety of options, service times, and culinary styles. Food items, provisions, supplies, staffing, utilities, and additional operational costs are allocated based on annual meal plan contracts. Early cancellation directly impacts these costs.
