Our Local Catch Program

Rhode Island is the Ocean State!  Our Local Catch of the Month seeks to utilize local seafood from surrounding waters only miles away from campus. Our goal includes bringing underutilized species like Scup, Monkfish, Bluefish, Hake, Whiting, and even; John Dories to the table.

Aiding the natural oceanic eco-systems around Rhode Island and the greater New England area, we want to create awareness and eventually consumer-demand for these underutilized abundant species. They are great tasting and comparable to their more popular cousins like Haddock, Cod, Striped Bass, Tuna, or even Swordfish. How can we not take advantage of these sustainable local catches… available right from our own shores?

Come to one of our special nights and try something new. Help us create a buzz and an understanding of these underutilized sustainable fish from our local waters.
