Look for the April Local Catch of the Month

This year URI Dining Services has accomplished procuring fresh, local fish from Rhode Island fish harvesting businesses. Through the procurement of local fish products, we have been able to execute monthly dinners based on the sustainable philosophy of localized sourcing. These dinners have exposed our students to a variety of different fish species that were harvested directly from waters surrounding Rhode Island, as well as a different perspective to think about the food they are eating. URI Dining Services plans to continue to source more local seafood from harvesters and suppliers around the state, as well as bringing in a variety of locally made food products for our students and faculty to be exposed to!
